Prior to joining the MCVB, Dee-dee pursued her degree in Bilingual Education, early childhood through 4th grade, and provided enrichment programs to daycares teaching Spanish. She previously managed the supply store for the Art Institute of Dallas and was the assistant bookstore manager at Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio. Born in the Rio Grande Valley, Ms. Guerra started her career with JCPenney as a sales person and moved into their management intern program, after receiving her associates at Wade Fashion College in Dallas.
Ms. Guerra also has a B.S. from Texas Women's University (Denton, 2006) and is a member of Theta Kappa Honors Fraternity (1987-88, 2002-06).
