  1. Dinosaurs Live!

    November 2, 2019, 9:00 AM - February 17, 2020, 5:00 PM @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

    Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s nature trails at the 14th annual Dinosaurs Live! Life-size Animatronic Dinosaurs exhibit. The exhibit always gives families and friends a fun, educational activity to enjoy together. See the dinosaurs move and hear them roar! Photo op and play area dinosaurs will be available as well. This year, the exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly (it is not suitable for strollers with small wheels or wheelchairs).

  3. McKinney Farmers Market at Chestnut Square

    We work hard to re-create the feel of bygone market days held in the old Jockey lot in downtown McKinney. Meet friends, share local news and bring a chair and sit a while! Most every Saturday there’s a special tour, event, music or demonstration. Local and organic meat, dairy, honey and produce vendors offer their wares every Saturday at Chestnut Square near downtown McKinney. Market vendors also offer baked goods, artisan & specialty foods, wine, plants & flowers, craft items and more! *Please note: market hours may vary according to season and special events.     These programs are held on the third Saturday of each month and cover a variety of subjects. Third Saturday Nature Talks are open to the public and are free with paid general admission or Heard Museum Membership. Many of these programs will have an outside component. Please dress appropriately. These talks begin at 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise listed. Check Heard website for monthly topic.
