  1. Dinosaurs Live! at The Heard

    September 1, 2018 - February 18, 2019 @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

    Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s nature trails at the 13th annual Dinosaurs Live! Life-size Animatronic Dinosaurs exhibit. The exhibit always gives families and friends a fun, educational activity to enjoy together. See the dinosaurs move and hear them roar! Photo op and play area dinosaurs will be available as well. This year, the exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly (it is not suitable for strollers with small wheels or wheelchairs).

  2. Schon Everywhere * International Pop-Up Gallery

    September 14, 2018, 9:00 AM - September 29, 2018, 4:00 PM @ Heard-Craig Center for the Arts (located in downtown McKinney directly behind Sugarbacon's Restaurant)

    Schon Everywhere is a new, international pop up gallery partnership between the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts (McKinney, TX) and the Freya Frahm Haus (Laboe, Germany) where artwork is shown for a several month gallery exposition. In August, the United States artwork will be shown in Laboe, Germany. In September, the German artwork will be shown in McKinney, Texas. We welcome tour groups and have a large parking lot for bus tours. Great day out with friends: Walk the gallery and have lunch on the McKinney square!

  3. Oaxaca Fiesta: Art Exhibition by Silky Hart

    September 21, 2018 - September 23, 2018 @ The Cove 402 N. Tennessee St. McKinney, TX 75069

    The magic of Oaxaca, Mexico is alive in this new painting series. Festive colors, women dancing with baskets and imaginary creatures are some of the impressions Silky Hart artistically captures from a recent excursion to Oaxaca. Additional paintings and weavings by Cindy DeFoore will also be on display.

  4. Charity Classic Golf Tournament

  6. Texas & Collin County WWI Centennial Commemoration

    During 2018, the U.S. and Texas will observe the 100th anniversary of America's entry into WWI. In observance of the centennial commemoration the Collin County History Museum invites you to our exhibit honoring the role that Texas and Collin County soldiers and women played in the Great War. Interesting facts and details await you. CCHM is the only Museum in North Texas extensively covering this anniversary. HOURS: Thur - Sat, 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission: FREE

  7. Nature Story Times

    September 21, 2018, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

    These story times are designed primarily for children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. During most of the story times, a puppet, live animal or enrichment items will be included to enhance the experience. These programs should last approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered.

  10. Ariel Posen Live at the Sanctuary

    The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to present guitarist Ariel Posen with special guests Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center on Friday September 21st at 8pm (doors open at 7pm). VIP Tables with seating for 4 directly in front of the stage are $125 per table. Downstairs Seats (First Come, First Serve) are $20 General Admission Tickets on the Balcony (Standing Room Only) are $10. We will have standard Bar and Food Service available from our friends at Sterling Events & Catering.
