  1. Dinosaurs Live! at The Heard

    September 1, 2018 - February 18, 2019 @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

    Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s nature trails at the 13th annual Dinosaurs Live! Life-size Animatronic Dinosaurs exhibit. The exhibit always gives families and friends a fun, educational activity to enjoy together. See the dinosaurs move and hear them roar! Photo op and play area dinosaurs will be available as well. This year, the exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly (it is not suitable for strollers with small wheels or wheelchairs).

    These story times are designed primarily for children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. During most of the story times, a puppet, live animal or enrichment items will be included to enhance the experience. These programs should last approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered.

  6. Ugly Sweater Party & Philanthropy Night at E.J. Wills Gastropub

  7. Holidays at the Heard

    Bundle up and experience Holidays at the Heard, the most unique holiday event in North Texas. Holidays at the Heard brings the beauty of the holiday season into nature. Guests will see lights and holiday décor along a half mile Heard nature trail. In keeping with the Heard’s role as a nature preserve, this light display is designed to enhance, rather than overpower, the sanctuary’s natural beauty. Children and the young at heart will enjoy the opportunity to take a photo with Father Christmas and Mother Nature in a festive setting. Hot beverages and treats will be available for purchase. Family-friendly entertainment will complement the holiday atmosphere. Local musicians will delight audiences with live holiday music in the Heard outdoor amphitheater.

    Learn to bake French macarons like a pro in one of our 2-hour hands-on baking classes. During class, you will work in a small group to make a batch of French macarons. Each person will take home a gift box of macarons that they made, a recipe card and a Savor tote bag as well as the tips and tricks shared in class for perfecting macaron baking at home.

  11. Christmas from the Sanctuary

    Join us for "Christmas from the Sanctuary" a special family friendly concert event featuring an Evening of Christmas Spirit on Thursday December 20th at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center. Doors open at 6:30pm, Music begins at 7:00pm The concert features Maylee Thomas-fuller, Andy Timmons, George Fuller, & Gerry Fisher performing songs from Maylee and Andy's Christmas album "Here Comes the Son" We'll also have with a host of other musical guests, as well as staff and students from The Guitar Sanctuary family. Standard Seating downstairs and on the balcony is FREE, We will have 20 VIP Tables with seating for 4 right in front of the stage available for $100 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Love Life Foundation (any donations are welcome)

  18. New Year's Eve at the Sanctuary

    Join us on Monday December 31st for New Year's Eve at The Sanctuary with Live music by the Maylee Thomas Band and special guest opener Aaron Hendra at 9pm (doors open at 8). All Tickets include Party Favors, a Champagne Toast at Midnight, and Midnight Breakfast Buffet. Cash Bar will also be available from our friends at Sterling Events & Catering throughout the event. VIP Tables including seating for 4 are $200 (see seating chart) Individual seats (limited seating and high top tables available) are $39 per person.
