Great Music Fills McKinney's Summer Calendar

The arts scene in McKinney continues to grow and thrive, with local singer-songwriters performing every weekend in the community's restaurants, wineries and breweries. In addition to those regular performances, various venues around the city have filled the summer calendar (into September) with some great live music. Add these concerts to your plans this summer.
July 2 -
McKinney Community Band
: Annual patriotic concert, "AMERICA!," by the all-volunteer wind band. At the McKinney Performing Arts Center at 3:30 p.m. FREE.
July 4 -
Prophets and Outlaws
: This group takes the stage at Red White & BLOOM in McKinney's Craig Ranch Soccer Complex at 8 p.m. Stay for fireworks following the concert. Free.
July 20-21 -
Andy Timmons and Monte Montgomery
: These two musicians will share the stage two nights in a row. On the 20th, Timmons is the featured performer with a special appearance by Montgomery, and then reverse places the following evening. VIP Tables with seating for 4 directly in front of the stage are $200 per table. Downstairs Seats (First Come, First Served) are $35 each. July 21 -
Larry Gatlin in Concert
: From dusty Texas stages to White House performances, from Broadway to Grammy Awards to the top of the country charts, there has been one unifying element, music. At the McKinney Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 adult, $40 seniors 65 , $35 kids/students (6-12).
Aug. 18 -
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Bluegrass Band
: A collection of four very different musicians creating a new sound from the greatest music ever written by the greatest band ever performs at the McKinney Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 adult, $25 senior (65 ), $20 kids/students.
Aug. 18 -
Greg Howe featuring Stu Hamm
: The singer-songwriter-music producer shares the stage with Stu Hamm with special guest Justin Cash at The Sanctuary Music & Events at 8 p.m. VIP Tables with seating for 4 directly in front of the stage are $200 per table. Downstairs Seats (First Come, First Served) are $25 each. General Admission (Standing Room Only) Tickets on the upstairs balcony are $15 each.
- The Texas-born country recording artist will play at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $40 per person with discounts for seniors 65 , children and students 6-22 and groups. (Individual tickets available starting July 1.)
Tony MacAlpine with Felix Martin
: The guitar virtuoso MacAlpine and Venezuelan guitarist Felix Martin take the stage at The Sanctuary Music & Events. VIP Tables with seating for 4 directly in front of the stage are $150 per table. Downstairs Seats (First come, First Served) are $25. General Admission (Standing Room Only) on the balcony Tickets are $10. 8 p.m.

World War I Centennial Commemoration
